At least 16 people have died and another 20 have been injured as a result of a bombing that occurred this Saturday in the Syrian city of Aleppo, scene in the last hours of a major offensive by opposition forces to the Syrian Government led by the jihadist group Hayat. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has estimated that the attack could have been carried out by Russian warplanes, given the existing alliance between Moscow and the government of Syrian President Bashar al Assad, but the Russian Army has not commented on the matter.

“We are in favor of the Syrian authorities bringing order to the area and restoring constitutional order as quickly as possible,” the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, and according to the Observatory, at least 327 people have died, including civilians and elements of the sides in combat, since the beginning four days ago of the opposition offensive in Idlib and Aleppo, which the rebels describe as operation ” Deterrence of Aggression”, among them a hundred Syrian soldiers and allied forces and 155 HTS jihadists. The number of civilian deaths is around 50 due to attacks by both sides.
