The authorities of the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), have this Saturday raised the death toll to almost 45,500 and more than 108,000 injured due to the offensive unleashed by Israel against the enclave after the attacks on September 7. October 2023.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said in a statement published on its Telegram account that “the toll of Israeli aggression has increased to 45,484 martyrs and 108,090 wounded,” including 48 dead and 52 wounded due to “two massacres” carried out by the Israeli troops during the last 24 hours.

However, he highlighted that “there are still victims under the rubble and in the streets, given that ambulances and Civil Defense teams cannot reach them”, before adding that the balances only include victims who have been transported. to Gaza hospitals, most of them out of service.

The Israeli Army launched its offensive against Gaza after the attacks carried out on October 7, 2023 by Hamas and other Palestinian groups, which left nearly 1,200 dead and about 250 kidnapped. Likewise, around 810 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and in settler attacks since then in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
