MADRID 21 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least 88 people died this Wednesday in attacks carried out by the Israeli Army in the north of the Gaza Strip, 66 of them in a bombardment against a residential neighborhood located near the Kamal Adwan Hospital, in the Gazan town of Beit Lahia.
Local sources consulted by the Palestinian newspaper ‘Filastín’ have indicated that the majority of the fatalities are women and children and that, in addition, there are dozens of injured and missing as a result of the bombing.
The director of the aforementioned hospital, Hosan abu Safiya, has indicated that there are around 200 people at the site of the attack, including dead, injured and missing under the rubble. “Our medical staff in the hospital are recovering the injured and treating them because there are no ambulances. The health system is collapsed in northern Gaza, we cannot provide anything and all our appeals are in vain,” he declared.
On the other hand, 22 deaths have been recorded, including ten children, in an attack on a residential building in the Seij Radwan district, northwest of Gaza City (north), while seven people have died in a bombardment against a tent that housed displaced people in the “safe” area of Al Mawasi, on the southern coast of the Strip, according to the WAFA news agency.
In October 2023, the Israeli Army began a bloody offensive against the Gaza Strip following the Hamas attacks, which left 1,200 dead and about 250 hostages. Since then, Gazan authorities have recorded the deaths of nearly 44,000 Palestinians, in addition to more than 785 Palestinians killed at the hands of Israeli security forces and in attacks by settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
