At least 21 people die in Israel’s attacks on different towns in northern Gaza

MADRID, 20 (EUROPA PRESS)

At least 21 people have been killed and an unknown number have been injured in bombings carried out by the Israeli Army on different points in the northern Gaza Strip, including the Kamal Adwan Hospital.

As reported by the pan-Arab network Al Jazeera, eight people have died and “several more” have been injured in an attack by the Israeli air force early this Wednesday against a family home in Jabalia. Subsequently, the Palestinian Information Center has raised the death toll from this attack to twelve and has also reported that ten people are reported missing.

Likewise, another attack by Israeli troops has been recorded in the Sabra neighborhood, in the southwest of Gaza City. Although the exact number of victims is unknown so far, the aforementioned information portal has announced that a member of the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza has died and three others have been injured while working in rescue efforts.

For its part, Al Jazeera has confirmed that its correspondent Hossam Shabat was “slightly” injured while reporting on the bombing.

These attacks took place shortly after the Israeli bombing of the Kamal Adwan Hospital, where, according to its director, Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, the roof and upper floors have been destroyed.

Local sources have confirmed to the Palestinian agency WAFA that several people were transferred to this hospital after being injured by an attack by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Tuesday afternoon on a residential building in Beit Lahiya, which has killed at least eight other Gazans.

The toll of victims of the military offensive unleashed by Israel against the Gaza Strip after the attacks of October 7, 2023 is already close to the threshold of 44,000 dead and 105,000 injured, as reported this Tuesday by the authorities of the enclave, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
