At least eight dead and 15 injured in market fire in northeast China

MADRID 4 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least eight people have died and 15 have been injured due to the fire that occurred this Saturday in a market in the Chinese province of Hebei, in the northeast of the country.

The fire occurred specifically around 8:40 a.m. (local time) in the city of Zhangjiakou, in the Qiaoxi neighborhood, and its causes are under investigation, according to police sources reported to the official Chinese news agency Xinhua.

The flames have already been controlled by firefighters from the region, local authorities have also confirmed to China Central Television.
