At least eight dead in an Israeli attack on a hospital in Gaza City

MADRID 29 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least eight people have been killed and an unknown number have been injured in an Israeli attack on the Al Wada hospital in Gaza City.

According to local sources to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, the Israeli attack has reached the upper floor of the hospital and some of the wounded are in serious condition. The Israeli Army has not yet commented on the bombing.

This attack takes place a day after the last active hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, Kamal Aduan, ceased operations following an Israeli military raid on the medical center after weeks of siege to expel its interior, according to the Israeli Army, to elements of the Palestinian militias.

Doctors at the hospital have assured that there were no armed operations inside while the WHO has denounced the operation as a new example of the “systematic dismantling” of the medical services infrastructure in Gaza.

In the absence of the publication of the updated toll of victims, the Wafa agency reports that the Israeli attacks this Sunday have already left at least 13 dead in different parts of the Palestinian enclave.

The authorities of the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), this Saturday raised the death toll to almost 45,500 and more than 108,000 injured due to the offensive unleashed by Israel against the enclave after the attacks on September 7. October 2023.
