According to SPORT, Ousmane Dembele is set to leave Barcelona for free in the summer transfer window, and the club has identified Raphinha of Leeds United as his perfect replacement.
The Blaugranes have already made an offer of €35 million to the Premier League club, and discussions have already begun. Raphinha has already reached an agreement with Barça on personal terms and will sign a five-year deal.
Barcelona's pursuit of Raphinha has increased in recent weeks, especially given the player's agent, Deco, is a Barcelona icon who currently works as a scout for the club in South America. If Leeds get relegated to the Championship, the asking price for the winger is likely to drop significantly.
They now lie in 16th place, seven points clear of the relegation zone despite having played an extra game.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian has a €25 million release clause in his contract that will only be activated if Leeds are relegated. With his contract set to expire in 2024, it wouldn't be shocking if the Lilywhites asked for €50 million for him this summer.
Chelsea and Liverpool were both reported to be interested, although the former is reported to be out of the race owing to British government sanctions. Raphinha has nine goals and three assists in the Premier League this campaign, while also creating nine chances.
