Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has had his pre-match press conference today ahead of their Fa cup home game against league one club side Plymouth Argyle.
The blues who have won the prestigious Fa cup trophy on eight (8) good occasions, would be hoping to secure a comfortable victory against their opponents tomorrow, in order to secure their passage into the next round of the competition.
Ahead of the game, Tuchel provided an update on his squad, confirming players who are available for the game, and those who would miss out due to injury.
During the pre-match press conference, Tuchel was full of admiration for one his players in the person of Brazilian star Kenedy, and hinted that the 25 year old could get some minutes tomorrow.
Recall that Kenedy was recalled back from his loan spell in Brazil last month following the injury crisis at Chelsea. The player has now been registered for the rest of the premier league campaign.
Tuchel stated that should he opt for a three man defense set up tomorrow, then Chelsea fans could get the opportunity to see Kenedy play at wing back against Plymouth.
In his words, "If we play with a wing-back, it's the perfect role for him considering his profile. He has a very strong left foot, strong in positional play, can shoot & cross precise. It's now about having the right mentality & mindset to take this huge opportunity."
Since the injury suffered by Chilwell in November, Thomas Tuchel has deployed Marcos Alonso and Malang Sarr at left wing back. Kenedy could become a new face in the position tomorrow should Tuchel decide to give him a chance.
