Only one game was played in the Spanish LaLiga yesterday being Monday, as we saw the matchday 23 fixtures come to an end.
Athletic Bilbao hosted Espanyol at the Estadio San Mames, and it was an interesting encounter to witness, as both teams played well.
We got to see most of the actions come during the first half of the game, as that was when all the goals of the match was scored.
Espanyol took an early surprising lead in the 3rd minute, thanks to a wonderful goal from their midfielder, Tony Vilhena. But it didn't even take long for Athletic Bilbao to equalise, as Oihan Sancet scored just immediately in the 5th minute. A goal from Inigo Martinez in the 16th minute, was just enough to make sure that Athletic Bilbao went into the half-time break leading 2-1.
In the second half, nothing much happened, both teams decided to keep things safe, and that was how the match ended with Athletic Bilbao beating Espanyol 2-1.
Final Laliga table after Yesterday's game.
