Four people have died in an attack by armed individuals in San Antonio Calichar, in the municipality of Apaseo el Alto, in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico.
The incident occurred at noon on Monday, as reported by the Secretary of Security and Peace of the state of Guanajuato.
The area borders the municipality of Corregidora, in Querétaro, so the authorities of the latter state deployed troops to try to prevent those involved from fleeing.
The Querétaro State Police has confirmed that “operability in the area has been reinforced to protect the safety of citizens.”
