According to information collected by the Syrian state news agency, SANA, all those killed as a result of the attack launched by “terrorists” are civilians, with no claim of responsibility at the moment.

However, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in London and with informants in the country, has indicated that the attack was launched by the rebels against the educational institution, located in the Al Hamdaniya neighborhood and under control of the forces. governmental.

The offensive leaves around 240 dead so far, including 20 civilians, according to the organization, which has added that among the dead there are also around 80 soldiers, 114 members of HTS and 21 from other rebel groups, who have managed to take over the control of about 50 towns in the province of Aleppo.

The Syrian authorities have accused “armed terrorist organizations” led by HTS of launching “a major attack on a broad front”, without however commenting on possible casualties among their forces. This assault is the first large-scale assault since the presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, respectively, announced a ceasefire in March 2020 after months of fighting.
