MADRID 9 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), have claimed this Wednesday joint responsibility for the shooting earlier this week in the town of Al Funduk, in the northwest of the West Bank, which left three nationals dead. Israeli, also pointing to the Islamic Jihad brigades and the Fatah party of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

“The Brigades, in cooperation with the Al Quds Brigades and the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, are jointly responsible for the shooting attack in the town of Al Funduk, in Qalqilya,” he reported in a brief message collected by the newspaper ‘ Filastín’, linked to the group.

Hamas has also named Commander Jaafar Ahmed Dababseh as the intellectual author of the “heroic operation, through which the resistance transmitted a message of solid unity (…) to the Israeli Army,” and which was killed by the Defense Forces. of Israel (IDF) near the West Bank town of Nablus, according to ‘Times of Israel’. The three attackers are still at large, after fleeing after the attack.

The group has taken heart from this joint operation that demonstrates the “solidarity between the various factions of the resistance (…) and in response to the enemy’s continued massacres in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.”

Three people of Israeli nationality, including a police officer, were killed and a dozen injured in an attack that took place earlier this week against a bus and two other vehicles traveling on Route 55 that runs through the town of Al Funduk, in the governorate of Qalqilia.

For its part, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry has condemned “the atrocious crime committed by the occupation forces” in the city of Tamun, which left three people dead, including two children aged nine and ten, in an operation “under the pretext of bombing an ‘armed cell’.”

“This constitutes a continuation of the occupation’s crimes, as occurred when it broke into the Balata camp using an ambulance and attacked civilians, confirming the falsity of the occupation’s narratives and its direct and deliberate attacks against Palestinian civilians. in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip,” reads a statement.

In this sense, it has considered that “these crimes are a practical application and a clear reproduction of the violations committed by the Israeli Government against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and an application of its aggressive policies in the West Bank, in flagrant violation of International Law. and the Geneva Conventions”.
