Hamas publishes new proof of life with captured Israeli soldier Liri Albag, 19 years old

MADRID 4 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The armed wing of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, the Ezzeldin al Qassam Brigades, have published this Saturday proof of life of the Israeli soldier Liri Albag, 19, captured during the massacre committed by the Palestinian militias on October 7, 2023 that sparked the current Gaza war.

Albag was stationed at the Nahal Oz military post when she was captured by the militias, according to the Israeli newspaper ‘Times of Israel’. The video appears to be recent given that Albag says he has been in captivity for 450 days.

In the video, the soldier declares slogans similar to those of other hostages who have appeared in previous life tests, in which she denounces the Israeli Government for ignoring her suffering “We are not a priority for our government or our Army. Even the world has begun to forget us and does not care about our suffering,” he says.

The Israeli Government has not commented but usually condemns these videos as offensive war propaganda against the families of the hostages and then holds Hamas exclusively responsible for the lack of agreement for their release.

Albag’s family has asked the media not to broadcast the images of the video released by Hamas, according to the ‘Times of Israel’.
