You’ve possibly heard the name 6ix9ine, and if you haven’t, you are about to know much of the 22-Year-Old rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez. The story of Tekashi is quite a complicated one, but indeed, he infiltrated the hip-hop world, becoming the clown of the prince of rap, and with a leverage of his polarizing persona, he became a constant topic of conversation.

Reporter Shawn Setaro witnessed it all first-hand while in court for every moment of Tekashi’s legal drama.

Tekashi had attained mainstream credibility with “FEFE,” a hit single he made with Nicki Minaj in early 2019. But as his star was born, it was quickly declining – people instead paid renewed attention to his 2015 conviction of using a child in a sexual performance. And with his arrest on racketeering, weapons, and drug charges in 2018 due to his affiliation with the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods, more details came to light.

He pointed out how the young rapper allied with a notorious street gang to bolster his image.

His subsequent escape from a life sentence in part, by snitching on his fellow Nine Trey gang members is quite a tale as chaotic as Tekashi’s rap career and the logical step, according to Shawn Setaro, a journalist, podcaster, and author of the new book, Complex Presents Dummy Boy: Tekashi 6ix9ine and The Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods was top pull all of his information into a cohesive tale.

As his star was born, it was quickly declined – people paid renewed attention to his 2015 conviction of using a child in a s*xual performance.

Tekashi’s affiliations in 2018 also caught up with him, leading to a police investigation that tore apart his team.

While everyone already has an opinion about 6ix9ine, Setaro tells the story as objectively as possible. He’s of the view that the rapper’s career arc represents much larger societal trends, which makes the whole thing compelling. However, the book opens with when 6ix9ine’s album TattleTales flopped in September 2020 before diving into was the most intense moment during Tekashi’s court case.

Serato claimed Tekashi’s biological dad had shown up at his sentencing, where he confidently stood up and said: “This is my son.” This moment reportedly threw Tekashi off, and just when his dad started speaking again afterward, he was cursing in the courtroom, saying: “I can’t believe this is happening. I haven’t seen this guy in 15years.” Tekashi undeniably had some terrible things happen to him growing up, and yes, he entertained many people and did some unforgivable stuff.

With Complex Present Dummy Boy available to purchase now, it’s really a tale about a relationship – the relationship between Tekashi and Kifano Shotti, the Nine Trey Member who was his big homie and his pseudo manager. It’s also about Shotti taking Tekashi under his wing and how each sort ultimately wanted what the other had. Tekashi is a clear example of how we live now and guilty of how we all need a hit of oxytocin before picking up our phones.

It’s also about how Shotti took Tekashi under his wing and how each ultimately wanted what the other had.

However, Tekashi’s life fell sideways at age 13 when he dropped out of school and started working odd jobs.

On the other hand, Tekashi’s life had fallen sideways in his teenage years. He dropped out of school at age 13 and started working odd jobs to help his mother. Tekashi then ultimately turned to sell drugs and at around that time developed his 6ix9ine persona, drawing motivating from anime, hip-hop, and mental. Reportedly, he has gotten the number 69 tattooed on his body more than 200 times.
