The Foreign Minister of Iran, Abbas Araqchi, began a trip this Friday to the capital of China, Beijing, where he will meet with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, in what is his first official visit to the Asian giant since he arrived in post.
The spokesman for the Iranian diplomatic portfolio, Ismaeil Baqaei, announced the trip, highlighting the “excellent and extensive relations” bilaterally between Tehran and Beijing, according to a statement published on his website.
Likewise, he noted that during the visit both ministers will also address the state of bilateral relations and the Comprehensive Cooperation Program, as well as consultations on regional and international developments.”
