The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have assured this Tuesday that the Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah has launched a new barrage of missiles against Israeli territory, one of which has hit a post of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon. “Hezbollah fired a missile that hit a UNIFIL post in the Ramyeh area of southern Lebanon, causing a number of injuries and damage to the post,” the Israeli Army reported in a post on its social networks. in which he attaches an infographic of the alleged attack by the Lebanese Islamist organization.
The image shows how the IDF located the origin of the missile fire in the Deir Aames area, about ten kilometers from the border with Israel. According to the Israeli Army, of the dozens of missiles fired, at least three have landed in Lebanese territory, and one of them near the UNIFIL post in Ramyeh.
For the moment, the United Nations peace mission in Lebanon has not confirmed the facts, nor has Hezbollah commented on the matter. UNIFIL has been the target of several attacks since the start of the Israeli ground offensive on southern Lebanon in early October as part of the war against the Islamist group.
