MADRID 30 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has described as a “terrorist attack orchestrated by Serbia” an explosion that took place this Friday in a canal that supplies water to the power plants in Zubin Potok, in the Serb-majority north of Kosovo.
“The crime is committed by a professional, it is the crime of a terrorist criminal, who we believe comes from organized and orchestrated gangs in Serbia, who have the interest, enmity and desire to carry out such crimes and murders,” Kurti stated in a press conference.
The leader has explained that the repair has been carried out, although he has not specified the extent of the damage. Even with this, he detailed that “if they are not repaired, a part of Kosovo runs the risk of being left without electricity.”
“In our opinion, there can be no other direction for the investigation and investigation, for the organization and orchestration of these crimes, except the civil law and its criminal structures, which are headed by Milan Radojic, supported by the Serbian institutions and by the president of Serbia, Alexander Vucic,” he added.
In March 2023, the top officials of Serbia and Kosovo reached an agreement for the normalization of bilateral relations.
The European strategy, after years without progress in the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, is for the parties to address pending issues and focus on compliance with the agreements agreed upon but never put into action, although the latest meetings in Brussels have always been marked by the tensions caused by different frictions and crises.
Belgrade and Pristina have spent decades of negotiations in Brussels with few results and a poor record of implementing the agreements already reached weighed down by the conflicts arising from the violent secession of Kosovo from Serbia in the late 1990s.
