MADRID 29 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Venezuelan opposition leader, María Corina Machado, has made a new call to the military establishment and the police to “tear down the last obstacle” to freedom in Venezuela in a veiled reference to the government of President Nicolás Maduro.
“Military citizen, police citizen, this message is for you. The time has come for definition and to tear down the last obstacle that separates us from Freedom,” Machado stated in a message published on his account on the social network X.
Machado has highlighted that “Venezuela trusts you.” “I trust in the moral reserve of our men of honor and arms. See you soon on the streets of Venezuela,” he added.
Machado won the primary elections for the main Venezuelan opposition coalition, but was disqualified from participating in the November 28 presidential election. In his place was Edmundo González, who according to official results was defeated by Maduro, although the opposition denounces electoral fraud and has even published minutes that would prove his victory.
