English Premier League giants Manchester United is set to host Watford in the Premier League game week 26 at Old Trafford. The Red Devils will be desperate to return to winning ways after settling for a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium Spain, thanks to Anthony Elanga's beautiful finish in the second half.
Ralf Rangnick will be keen on beating Watford who thrashed the Red Devils 4-1 back in November. Apart from paying back the defeat, the Old Trafford outfit is currently struggling for a place in the top four with Arsenal, West Ham United, and Tottenham Hotspur putting pressure behind them.
Despite not taking part in the game against Atletico Madrid due to illness, Scott McTominay was hailed by Simeone as one of the best midfielders in the world. Rangnick has revealed ahead of the Watford game that McTominay is a major doubt. The Scottish international is still recovering from illness and may not feature against Watford.
Edinson Cavani on the other hand is still out due to a groin injury. He failed to make it to the squad that traveled to Spain, so he's not expected to return in time for the Saturday clash.
Venue: Old Trafford.
The manager could retain his 4-2-3-1 formation, with Matic likely to start in the midfield after an impressive performance against Atletico Madrid. Elanga could also be named in the starting lineup to replace Marcus Rashford who did little or nothing to mount pressure on Atletico Madrid's defense.
