The security forces of the Palestinian Authority have confirmed the death of a fifth agent in the context of clashes with militiamen in the refugee camp in the West Bank town of Jenin, the scene of an operation by Palestinian agents for about a week. .
The latest deceased has been identified by the official Palestinian news agency Wafa as Commander Hussein Nasar, “shot down by bandits” — in reference to the Palestinian militias of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, as well as other operatives in the West Bank splintered from this last group, like the Jenin Brigade, created in 2021 –.
Hamas last week condemned the Palestinian Authority’s “repressive practices” for its operations in Jenin, which have led to clashes between Palestinian security forces and the Jenin Brigades, which include members of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. and the armed wings of Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
