Putin announces the mass production of the new missile and affirms that its massive use would be equivalent to a nuclear attack

Describes the bombing of energy infrastructure as a response to missiles against Russian soil and warns: “We will always respond”

MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has confirmed the start of mass production of the new ‘Oreshink’ ballistic missile, which Russian forces already used last week for the first time to launch an attack on Ukraine, and has assured that a hypothetical Massive bombardment with this type of projectile would be equivalent in terms of effects to the launching of a nuclear bomb.

Putin, who is participating in a forum of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Kazakhstan, has justified that Russia continues to strengthen its capabilities in the face of threats supposedly posed by Western countries. According to the Russian president, Moscow knows how many long-range missiles kyiv has received and how many will arrive soon, as well as the positions of all of them.

Putin once justified the use of the ‘Oreshnik’ as a response to the use by the Ukrainian Armed Forces of Western missiles to bomb Russian territory, a collaboration that has also served as an excuse now for the large-scale attack launched this same Wednesday against targets of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

“The attacks on our part are a response to the current attacks on Russian territory with American ATACMS missiles. As I have said on other occasions, we will always respond,” he warned during his speech, in which he once again called the Volodimir Zelensky’s “regime” due to the absence of elections.

In this sense, the president reserves the right to continue using the new ballistic missile and to continue expanding a war arsenal that already has a production level “ten times greater” than that of all NATO countries. Putin has announced that Russia plans to increase this manufacturing capacity by 25 or 30 percent next year, according to Russian news agencies.
