This comes from Sport. They claim that Barcelona have held talk with representatives of Endrick. The 16-year-old Brazilian striker made waves this year, shining for Palmeiras and putting himself in the sights of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Endrick burst onto the scene as a 15-year-old in the 2022 Copinha. The Brazilian Youth championship competition draws a sizeable crowd and the young striker lit things up. He’d eventually finish at the Best Player at the tournament thanks to goals like this:
Barcelona hope to win over the payer ahead of a transfer race, presumably to take place next year. Chelsea are also keen to sign Endrick, per the Athletic, while Sky Sports believe Liverpool want him.
Barcelona hold Endrick talks
Honestly, you can just think of a major European club and there will have been some sort of link to Endrick. He’s the next Rodrygo Goes or Vinicius Jr – a supreme Brazilian talent who will cost a small fortune.
The hope, of course, is that you pay a small fortune now to avoid paying a large one later. That’s the Real Madrid philosophy, anyway, and they’ve indeed been reported as interested.
It’s worth noting that Liverpool did try to sign Rodrygo before Real did, however. That’s the line from Elano, who worked at Santos as the Reds made an offer.
Thus it’s certainly possible that the club try their hand with Endrick. It may feel a little out of character for Liverpool to spend big on a relatively untested kid, of course, but it’ll all depend on their own scouting.
If Endrick is as good as they say – and looks, to be fair – then may see his early signature as smart business. Barcelona certainly do.
