MADRID 11 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this Saturday that the Russian Army has taken control of the town of Shevchenko, in the Donetsk region.

Ukraine has not yet commented on this announcement. In December, British Military Intelligence already considered the city lost to kyiv in the face of the advance of Russian forces in their new operation in eastern Ukraine, which now targets the strategic town of Pokrovsk, five kilometers north of Shevchenko.

The Ukrainian Army has limited itself to confirming, in its report this Saturday, more than 213 clashes against Russia, a third of them on the Pokrovsk front, all repelled according to the statement published on its Telegram account.
