MADRID 8 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Russian authorities have published this Wednesday a new assessment of the situation in the Kursk region, located on the border with Ukraine and the scene of a Ukrainian offensive since the beginning of August in which the enemy Armed Forces have suffered at least 50,000 casualties between dead and wounded soldiers.
In total, 50,120 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed by the Russian Army’s counterattacks. In the last 24 hours alone, 290 have been added to the list. In addition, Russia has managed to destroy nearly 300 Ukrainian tanks, hundreds of armored vehicles and several Western missile systems.
The Ukrainian incursion into Kursk began in early August, in an unprecedented strategic shift by kyiv since the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, ordered in February 2022 to invade the neighboring country. According to the Ukrainian Army, its troops have repelled dozens of attacks in this region in the last 24 hours.
The Russian authorities, however, limit themselves to continuing to update the casualty balance of the Ukrainian forces in Kursk, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the eve of the launch of “a precision strike” against a Russian military post in Belaya, at the southern end of Kursk.
