MADRID 26 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned this Tuesday that the Russian Armed Forces launched more than 180 drones last night, a record number that, according to the president, shows that the Kremlin is successfully evading sanctions.
“Last night Russia attacked Ukraine and launched a record number of drones against our people, 188,” the Ukrainian president said through his social networks, sharing images of firefighters working to put out the fires caused by the projectiles in cities such as, for example, Ternopil.
Zelensky has highlighted that although air defense systems managed to neutralize a large number of these drones, many facilities and infrastructure have been damaged after this new offensive by the Russian Army.
Likewise, the Ukrainian president has focused on the dozens of “foreign components” contained in these 188 drones. “There are almost 16,000 components without which they would not fly,” he said, warning that these attacks “are only possible” thanks to the scheme that Russia has woven to evade sanctions.
“Thank you to everyone in the world who is blocking these supplies, but we need to work more together to make the sanctions work and force Russia to stop this war,” Zelensky emphasized.
“If one is against the war, one must really be against Russia evading the sanctions,” he added, alluding to the countries that have expressed their rejection of the conflict, but that have chosen not to join the sanctions that They arrive mainly from NATO countries.
Since late Monday afternoon, nearly 200 projectiles have been flying over Ukrainian territory in response to kyiv’s long-range missile attacks in recent days. The 188 drones were joined by four Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from Voronezh and Kursk.
