Russia opens to negotiate with Trump and blames Biden for wanting to prolong the war in Ukraine

MADRID 20 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Wednesday, the Russian Presidency once again left the door open to contacts with the future president of the United States, Donald Trump, and has accused the current North American Administration, headed by Joe Biden, of wanting to prolong the war in Ukraine.

“The president (Vladimir Putin) has repeatedly said that he is ready for contacts and negotiations,” said the Kremlin’s main spokesman, Dimitri Peskov, noting that Moscow is not interested in the conflict being “frozen.” according to Russian news agencies.

Moscow blames kyiv for the current breakdown in dialogue, and broadens the focus on Washington. Peskov has said that Biden is doing “everything possible” to ensure that there is no type of diplomatic advance until he leaves power in January, alluding to permission for the use of long-range missiles against Russian territory and the possible shipment of anti-personnel mines. .

In any case, the Russian Government avoids relaxing its current offensive on Ukraine, which began in February 2022 by order of Putin. In fact, the embassies of the United States and several European countries, including Spain, have announced that they will close this Wednesday due to fear of a massive air attack.

In his appearance, Peskov avoided assessing these closures — “it is not our responsibility,” he stated — and left any information related to what Moscow describes as a “special military operation” in the hands of the Ministry of Defense.
