Shoppers can now collect and return their Amazon orders at Asda stores – International Supermarket News

Amazon and Asda have today announced that Amazon customers can now take advantage of label- and box-free parcel collection and returns at more than 700 Asda stores.

Just in time for the festive season, eligible Amazon orders can be picked up at most Asda stores across the UK, with more locations being added in the coming months.

The new pick-up and drop-off options will make shopping at eligible Asda stores even more convenient for customers, who will now be able to do their weekly shopping and collect or return parcels in one trip.

The partnership also reduces the need for additional shipping boxes, as customers can simply return the item in the original manufacturer’s packaging.

“Meeting the evolving needs of our customers is a priority for us at Asda,” said Chris Hall, vice president of logistics at Asda. “This collaboration with Amazon just in time for Christmas marks another historic moment, not only for our largest stores, but also for our ever-expanding Asda Express convenience offering. By bringing essential services like Amazon parcel collection and returns closer to where our customers live and work, we can bring greater convenience to more of the communities we serve across the UK.”

“We work hard to offer customers low prices on a wide selection of products, with fast, convenient delivery options and easy returns,” said John Boumphrey, Amazon UK Country Manager. “This collaboration with Asda makes it even easier for customers to pick up ordered items when they are shopping or make hassle-free returns at more than 700 stores nationwide.”

During checkout, customers can select their most convenient parcel collection location, which now includes more than 700 Asda stores. Once the package arrives, customers will receive an email notification with the information needed to pick it up when they are at the property.

If an order needs to be returned, Amazon customers can drop off returns at eligible Asda stores after generating a QR code by visiting the Amazon.co.uk “Your Orders” page online or in the Amazon Shopping app by clicking under “Return or replace items” and following the instructions.

Customers then bring eligible items to the delivery location in the manufacturer’s original packaging, to be packaged and shipped at no additional cost.
