First funeral held for plane crash victims

The South Korean Police searched the Muan International Airport and the headquarters of the airline Jeju Air this Thursday after the accident recorded this weekend that left 179 people dead, on the same day in which held the first funeral for the victims.
South Korean authorities have indicated that Jeonnam Provincial Police have conducted search and seizure operations at both the airport and Jeju Air’s Seoul office and regional aviation office, on charges of professional negligence resulting in death.
Minutes before knowing these records, the first funeral was held for the victims of this accident. The identity of the victims has not been made public and the event took place in Gwangju, about 270 kilometers south of Seoul, according to the Yonhap news agency.
On Sunday, a Jeju Air passenger plane from Bangkok crashed into the outer wall of Muan International Airport during landing, killing 179 of the 181 people on board. The authorities have identified all the deceased, although so far only twenty bodies have been delivered to their families.
