MADRID 3 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Federal Police (FBI) and the United States Department of Homeland Security have warned this Friday of a possible increase in attacks after the multiple car accident that took place in the city of New Orleans in which 14 people died.
In a report, the authorities have indicated that there are indications that plans could be made to carry out these types of acts and mass murders. Thus, they point to the use of false documents, rental of vehicles and searches for possible targets of said attacks.
The suspected perpetrator of the multiple hit-and-run, who has been identified as Shamsud din Jabbar, intentionally drove a truck into a crowd that was celebrating the New Year on a street in New Orleans. In addition to the deceased, another 35 people have been injured.
Jabbar, who lived in the state of Texas and was an Army veteran, was killed after an exchange of fire with the Police in a shootout in which several people were injured. Agents later recovered a flag of the Islamic State terrorist group that was in the back of the vehicle.
In addition, they found several videos spread through social networks in which Jabbar declared his support for the Islamic State.
