The foreign ministers of France and Germany, Jean-Noel Barrot and Annalena Baerbock, travel this Friday to the Syrian capital, Damascus, to meet with the new authorities after the fall of the Bashar al Assad regime, in the first visit by heads of the diplomacy of members of the European Union to the Arab country.
“Today I am going to Damascus with Baerbock. Together, France and Germany stand alongside the Syrian people, in all their diversity.
