The Kazakh president orders a particular line of investigation into the Embraer 190 accident

MADRID 28 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of Kazakhstan, Kasim Yomart Tokayev, ordered this Saturday the beginning of a private investigation into the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 plane on national soil that has cost the lives of 38 people, including six Kazakh citizens.

According to the airline’s first investigations, the accident on December 25 near the Kazakh Aktau airport was caused by “external physical and technical interference”, amid speculation from Ukraine about Russia’s responsibility. Moscow has assured that it will maintain scrupulous silence until the main investigation is completed.

This Saturday, the Kazakh president once again expressed his condolences and applauded the “immediate response” of the country’s Emergency services, which avoided “much more serious consequences” thanks to the care provided to the 29 survivors of the incident.

The rescue operations were carried out at a very high level while the population quickly learned the complete information about the incident,” the president highlighted before extending his applause to the population.

“From the first moment, our citizens came forward to help those affected, demonstrating solidarity, genuine compassion and organization. People queued to donate blood,” he added during a meeting with his ministers reported by the ‘Astana Times’.
