At least three Palestinians have died this Wednesday at the hands of Israeli troops, in the framework of separate operations carried out in the last few hours in the town of Kafr Dan, on the outskirts of Jenin, and a camp located in the city of Nablus, both in the northern West Bank.
The governor of Jenin, Kamal abu al Rub, has indicated that at least two Palestinians have died in Kafr Dan, after the Ministry of Health linked to the Palestinian Authority confirmed one death at the hands of Israeli forces, which they launched two days ago an “anti-terrorist operation” in this governorate.
Al Rub has also denounced that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have retained the bodies of the deceased after bombing a vehicle and besieging a nearby home, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Previously, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that a young man died while its teams were trying to revive him after gunshot wounds to the chest, while another young man, also wounded by a gunshot wound to the chest, had been taken to a hospital in a stable condition.
According to sources consulted by the aforementioned news agency, an Israeli drone bombed a vehicle in the area, while the military stormed the city. In this context, clashes took place with the security forces, who surrounded a building near the attacked vehicle and shot at its interior. Likewise, they burned several vehicles and detained an ambulance.
On the other hand, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has indicated in a brief message published on its Telegram account that another person has died after being shot “by the occupation forces” in the Al Ain camp, in Nablus.
For its part, the Israeli Army has confirmed in a statement that its forces have been operating “for two days” in Jenin and has put the total number of “terrorists” killed in these operations at nine, including three in a bombing carried out by a drone. .
Israeli Army operations and attacks by Israeli settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem have left more than 790 Palestinians dead since these types of actions have increased since October 7, 2023, when Hamas and other Palestinian factions launched a assault that left nearly 1,200 dead and about 250 hostages. Palestinian authorities in the Gaza Strip have since counted nearly 44,000 deaths from the subsequent Israeli offensive.
