These Are Early 2000s Reality TV Stars: What Are They Up To Now?

We all have thought about our favorite reality TV stars once in a while. You know, those celebrities who we used to take damn seriously and their shows kept us hooked every day after school. From the Osbournes to the Bachelors and the super-rich Paris Hilton, where are these celebrities now and are they living the life of the same crazy fame or not? To let your curiosity satisfied, go through this article and learn what your favorite year teenage celebrities are doing these days.

#1 THEN: THE OSBOURNES

Back in the 2000s, long before the Kardashians, there were the Osbournes – reality television’s first royal family. The show that aired for four seasons revealed the lives of the Osbournes with their two teenage ids.

The MTV series was the first of its kind and proved to be a pioneer of family reality shows.

#2 NOW: SHARON OSBOURNE
The Osbourne family matriarch that aired for many years, has kept itself busy between various TV gigs. Sharon has held her reins tight at both The X factor and America’s Got Talent judges tables, and most recently served as a host on The Talk. Next up: Osbourne will judge the vocals on The Masked Singer.

#3 NOW: OZZY OSBOURNE
Two years back in February 2020, Ozzy, the former Black Sabbath rocker released his first solo effort after almost 10 years.

The album, titled Ordinary Man, came shortly after Osbourne re-entered the charts for the first time in 30 years with his feature in Post Malone’s “Take What You Want.”

#4 NOW: KELLY OSBOURNE
The 35-year-old daughter of Sharone and Ozzy has served as host of E!’s Fashion Police for several years and recently she was revealed as a contestant on The Masked Singer.

#5 NOW: JACK OSBOURNE
Jack, the once rebellious teenage son of Sharon and Ozzy is now a father himself and also the host of the Travel Channel’s Portals To Hell.

#6 THEN: KATE GOSSELIN
Gosselin was launched on the TV as a stressed-out mom of sextuplets on TLC’s Jon and Kate Plus Eight. The original docuseries ran from 2007 to 2009 and helped make the normal family super famous worldwide.

#7 NOW: KATE GOSSELIN
After her separation from her husband Jon in2009, the show continued and Kate continued to film the reality show late until 2017, with the readjusted title Kate Plus Eight.

Last year, TLC aired a spin-off for Gosselin, titled Kate Plus Date – wherein Kate’s two eldest daughters sought to find her a romantic partner.

#8 THEN: ‘NEWLYWEDS’ – NICK LACHEY AND JESSICA SIMPSON
Imagine welcoming a television crew at your home only a few weeks after you get married. Yes, this is what the pop stars Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson did back in 2003, and Newlyweds turned into several seasons of reality TV gold. However, the duo eventually split shortly after the cameras stopped rolling.

#9 NOW: NICK LACHEY
Lachey was MIA from the music industry for a long time before reuniting with his former bandmates of 98 Degrees. The 46-year-old also hosts the Netflix reality show Love Is Blind, alongside his wife Vanessa Minnillo.

#10 NOW: JESSICA SIMPSON
Ever since her time on Newlyweds, Simpson stepped away from the spotlight to build a family and a billion-dollar fashion empire.

The 39-year-old also released her memoir Open Book in February 2020, which shot to the top of the New York Times Bestseller list.

#11 THEN: ASHLEE SIMPSON
When we talk about the Simpsons, the super successful elder sister Jessica prompted her younger sister Ashley to join the world of a reality TV show in 2004.

Additionally, The Ashlee Simpson Show documented her journey to becoming a pop star in her own right. The series lasted several seasons and served as the perfect soundboard for Ashlee to come out from underneath her sister’s shadow.

#12 NOW: ASHLEE SIMPSON
At 35, Ashlee has returned to the world of a reality TV show with her husband, Evan Ross (son of Diana Ross), but the duo’s run was brief – only lasting one season.

Today, Simpson is enjoying life as a wife and mother and is rumored to be working on new music alongside her musician husband.

#13 THEN: ALEX MICHEL (THE FIRST ‘BACHELOR’)
Michel became the face of Bachelor launched in 2002. We can imagine that Michel himself had no idea how famous the show would become. However, his love affair with season one winner Amanda Marsh didn’t last long after the cameras stopped rolling.

#14 NOW: ALEX MICHEL (THE FIRST ‘BACHELOR’)
While the majority of people in the entertainment industry with reality shows continued with it one way or another, however, Michel, now 49, left the entertainment industry behind and currently works as the managing director of a Washington D.C.-based consulting firm.

#15 THEN: LAUREN CONRAD
Conrad’s life changed for real at 18 when MTV sent cameras to Laguna Beach High School to document the lives of graduating seniors. The series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County became an instant teen phenomenon. After graduating, Conrad moved to Los Angeles where she received her own spin-off, The Hills.

#16 NOW: LAUREN CONRAD
Conrad also stepped away from reality TV after her exit from The Hills in 2009, the California native has been very busy quietly building a massive lifestyle empire – which includes a successful Kohl’s fashion line.

#17 THEN: OMAROSA
The Ohio native became a reality TV hit following her appearance in season one of NBC’s The Apprentice back in 2004. Throughout the following decade, the Ohio native showed up in numerous shows including The Surreal Life and Fear Factor.

#18 NOW: OMAROSA
Much like her former Apprentice companion, Omarosa made a move to Washington, where she served as an assistant to President Trump and the Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison. Shortly after she was released from the role, Omarosa appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, where she shared details of her time at the White House.

#19 THEN: PARIS HILTON AND NICOLE RICHIE OF ‘THE SIMPLE LIFE’
Imagine the scenario when the super-wealthy Hilton hotel heiress and the daughter of rocker Lionel Richie are on a farm in middle America? Well, this simply means amazing ratings.

The answer: a ratings hit. From 2003 to 2007, Hilton and Richie starred in The Simple Life, which followed the best friend from high class to working class.

#20 NOW: PARIS HILTON
Hilton, now 39, used her Simple Life status to catapult a billion-dollar empire – that was filled with fragrances and clothing lines. Hilton is now working as a DJ at various clubs around the world and frequently uploads lifestyle videos to her YouTube channel.

#21 NOW: NICOLE RICHIE
After the hit show The Simple Life, Richie, now 38, has shown off her comedic chops, starring in VH1’s Candidly Nicole and the Tina Fey-produced sitcom Great News on NBC. Next up: Richie will star in the satire Nikki Fre$h for Quibi.

#22 THEN: Erik-Michael Estrada (Making the Band, 2000)
Erik-Michael Estrada was the lead vocalist and 1/5 of Making the Band Season 1 creation O-Town at 21.

#23 NOW: Erik-Michael Estrada continues to perform and act, appearing in A Very Boy Band Christmas.

#24 THEN: Eddie McGee (Big Brother, 2000)
All those people who were addicted to the Season 1 of Big Brother were shocked to see outspoken housemate Eddie, who was nominated for elimination weeks in a row, take home the $500,000 grand prize.

#25 NOW: Today, Eddie is an actor and entertainer with a new short film coming out in 2022.

#26 THEN: Tamyra Gray (American Idol, 2002)
Tamyra Gray became an instant hit among the vocal elite in her time on the first season of American Idol. Fans were left furious when she was eliminated from the top four, but there were bigger things in store for this starlet.

#27 NOW: Tamyra has enjoyed singing, acting, and even starring on Broadway in recent years.

#28 THEN: Trista Rehn (The Bachelorette, 2003)
Trista Rehn, the runner-up from Season 1, was picked as the first Bachelorette. Trista and her ultimate pick, Ryan Sutter, were actually the earliest examples of reality TV couple goals.

Trista was also featured in the inaugural season of another major reality show, Dancing With the Stars.

#29 NOW: Trista Rehn (The Bachelorette, 2003)
The couple is still happily married today and lives in Colorado with their two children.
