The president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, has expressed his gratitude to former President Jimmy Carter, who died this Sunday, and has valued his efforts to improve life in “the greatest nation in history.”

The millionaire has highlighted that “those who have been fortunate enough to serve as president understand that it is a very exclusive club and only we can realize the enormous responsibility of leading the greatest nation in history.”
“Melania and I dedicate our warm thoughts to the Carter family and their loved ones at this difficult time. We ask everyone to keep them in their hearts and prayers,” Trump’s message concludes.
Carter died this Sunday at his home in Plains, Georgia, at the age of 100, as confirmed by the Carter Center. The former president (1977-1981) has died “surrounded by his family.”
