The president-elect, who will return to the White House on January 20, has not detailed the components of the delegation that accompanies his first-born, who despite not having a formal position in the future Administration will likely repeat as one of the closest advisors of his father.
Before leaving for Greenland, Donald Trump Jr. simply told Fox News that he is “excited” to travel to the area and “have a good time” this week. Sources consulted by this same chain have clarified that the agenda does not include any meeting with local authorities.
Greenlandic Prime Minister Mute Egede already warned last week that the island “is not for sale and never will be.” The territory enjoys broad autonomy from Denmark, despite the fact that key issues such as foreign and defense policy are controlled from Copenhagen.
