Trump’s eldest son travels to Greenland after his father’s sovereignty claims

MADRID 7 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The eldest son of the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, has undertaken a trip to Greenland, a territory dependent on Denmark and that the Republican magnate now has in his sights, to the point that he has publicly raised the possibility of buying the island.

“My son, Donald Jr, and several representatives will visit some of the most magnificent areas” of Greenland, an “incredible place” that, according to Trump, “would reap enormous benefits” if it were one day part of the United States, just as has exposed Truth Social on his network.

“We will protect it and value it in the face of a very hostile outside world. Let’s make Greenland great again!” added the Republican leader, applying to this territory the motto that has twice led him to victory in elections in the United States. .

The president-elect, who will return to the White House on January 20, has not detailed the components of the delegation that accompanies his first-born, who despite not having a formal position in the future Administration will likely repeat as one of the closest advisors of his father.

Before leaving for Greenland, Donald Trump Jr. simply told Fox News that he is “excited” to travel to the area and “have a good time” this week. Sources consulted by this same chain have clarified that the agenda does not include any meeting with local authorities.

Greenlandic Prime Minister Mute Egede already warned last week that the island “is not for sale and never will be.” The territory enjoys broad autonomy from Denmark, despite the fact that key issues such as foreign and defense policy are controlled from Copenhagen.
