The Emirati Interior Ministry had already confirmed on Sunday the arrest of three suspects and highlighted that the creation of a special unit “led to the discovery of the victim’s body, the identification and arrest of the perpetrators and the initiation of the necessary legal procedures.” .

The deceased was an assistant to Rabbi Levi Yitzchak, the religious leader of the Jewish community in the UAE. He also maintained ties with Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, who died in the terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008.

Israeli media such as the N12 channel previously indicated that Kogan could have been kidnapped by terrorist elements close to Iran, although at the moment there is no official confirmation of any kind in this regard.
