Ukraine announces the capture of two North Korean soldiers injured in the Russian Kursk region

The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced this Saturday the capture of two North Korean soldiers on the front of the Russian Kursk region.

The two soldiers, part of a deployment sent by North Korea to this war zone – scene of an unprecedented Ukrainian incursion last August – “are injured” but their lives are not in danger and they have been transferred to kyiv, according to the president.

“Like all prisoners of war, these two North Korean soldiers are receiving the necessary medical assistance,” the president assured before guaranteeing that the press will have full access to both soldiers once they recover to hear statements.

Zelensky has applauded the work of his forces in capturing these soldiers, which “was not an easy task” because, according to the president, “the North Koreans usually execute their wounded to erase any evidence of North Korea’s participation in the war.” against Ukraine”.

Neither the Russian Army nor the North Korean authorities have commented on the matter for now.
