The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, denounced late this Saturday an attack with “fire bombs” against the Consulate General of Venezuela in Lisbon (Portugal) and has assured that no “insane” aggression will prevent the “Bolivarian revolution” .

“Today, fascism has attacked our Consulate General headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal with fire bombs, attacking the services provided to our compatriots. The irrational aggressions of deranged groups will not be able to reverse the advances of the Bolivarian Revolution,” he said. the chancellor announced in a message shared through Telegram.

The representative of the Venezuelan Executive has celebrated that, thanks to the rapid intervention of the Portuguese authorities, no major damage has been caused and has expressed his confidence that “the investigations initiated will allow us to find those responsible and determine the corresponding responsibilities.”

This event took place after the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, was sworn in this Friday for a third term at the head of the country despite the fact that the opposition denounces electoral fraud in the July 28 elections.
